Singing Bowl Therapy - 2024

As a part of Orientation event to the new members of Project Wings to Dreams (2024/25), Chain For Change organized a Singing Bowl Therapy on 24th April, 2024 in St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar. Singing Bowl Master and the facilitator Mr. Oskillar Aquí Ahora offered one and half hour of therapeutic sound heeling session to at hand participants.

Mr. Oskar interacted with the participants and they also got to feel and play with his full moon singing bowl which he brought for the treatment. Everyone loved the session. Participants were found meditating and relaxing during the event. Most of them shared that they did not want the session to end and hoped that it could recur even in the future.

Corporal Expression and Contemporary Dance Workshop - 2023

A workshop related to Corporal Expression and Contemporary Dance was carried out for 2 days on 16th and 17th March, 2023 to 11 dancers with visual disabilities and their supporting partners. Chain For Change in collaboration with Expedición Solidaria successfully conducted this workshop at St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar, Kathmandu.

Dr. Cristina Gomez Vicente and Dr. Guillermo Rodriguez Cortes were the main trainers/dance instructors who had facilitated the entire session. During the workshop, participants with and without visual disabilities were paired into couples and took part in interactive ice breaking games, art and corporal expression and contemporary dance steps in several native and international songs.

Reiki Orientation and Sound Healing Session

On 21st May, 2022 - Saturday Chain For Change organized Reiki Orientation and Sound Healing session in association with Soul Reconnection for participants with and without disabilities. Reiki Master Mrs. Sabina Shrestha oriented the participants about Reiki and Mental peace. Then, Mr. Sanjeet Tuladhar facilitated the singing bowl and sound therapy along with the assistance from Reiki healers Mrs. Binu Shahi and Mr. Anuj Tandukar.

Share For Better Mental Care - 2021

Share For Better Mental Care is a month long workshop package organized by Chain For Change on July, 2021 where around 150 persons with and without disabilities participated to understand mental health, generate positive attitude, enhance mental well-being and get motivated towards sharing with their family/friends or opting for support. During these 5 days, sessions centered around following issues:
  • Importance of communication & sharing with family & social support to enhance mental well-being.
  • Importance of mental health and well-being during pandemic.
  • Learning about stress, anxiety, and depression through thinking, feeling, and behavior.
  • Counselling for mental well-being.
  • Reiki for mental well-being and eternal happiness.

Almost 40% of the participants of this event had some sort of disabilities including visual disability, physical disability, and hearing disability. As this was an online event, approximately 5000 people joined us live through various social media platforms. Peace First, Rotaract Club of Charumati, Soul Reconnection, HUDEC Nepal and Chanchala Masala supported us throughout the event.
